Upcoming Warrior Girls/ Females on Fire record release party on Friday, August 26 in Los Angeles, California
Been asked to perform at the Warrior Girls/ Females on Fire record release party on Friday, August 26 at the Mint in LA. Looks like around 8:30 pm and it will be a full band set, so should rock quite sufficiently to make it worthwhile to cruise down to West Pico. Will be doing "Wichita" as featured on the cd, while the rest of the set will be somewhat loud - and as proud as is possible(!)
Please urge LA friends to come down - The more the merrier!
You can reserve tables at THE MINT, and should do so early enough as space for seating will be limited. Please contact the hostess, Deana Segretario, dseg@pacbell.net, or phone 323-954-9400, and let her know your request. The club will allow under 21 guests for the dinner time 7pm - 10pm as long as accompanied by adults or parents, so make sure and mention if you have youngsters coming. After 10pm they will not allow anyone under 21 to enter. For a look at the menu go to

HURRY HOME EARLY: A TRIBUTE TO WARREN ZEVON
...is finally out and selling at number 2 on CD Baby last I heard!
Feel free to request on your favorite radio station that isn't Clear Channel.
Have listened to the entire record and I've gotta say it's pretty damn good. A testament to Zevon's more pensive, melancholy side, with, remarkably, each artist adding their own flavor to the strong Zevon spirit of each tune.
My faves are: the Simple Things version of "I'll Slow You Down", the Matthew Show's, "Mohammed's Radio, Tom Flannery's "Boom Boom Mancini," and Simone Stevens and Jordan Zevon's "Warm Rain." Powerful songs which I was not aware of before, and very touching treatments.
Alpha Cat's version of "Reconsider Me" isn't half bad either, not in small part due to the contributions of Chris Butler's poignant bass, George Kapsalis' weepy slide guitar, and Derek Dragotis' gorgeous backing vocals..
Check it out and buy on CD Baby:

You won't regret it!
Hope to see you in LA....
